FAQs

How do I make an appointment?

Just press the “Get Started” button located on all of our pages, and you can start the booking, ordering, and delivery process. Once appointments have been confirmed, you will be notified.

What is the timeline for getting an appointment with Crosslight?

In most cases appointments are available within one or two days. If you need quicker service, but an appointment is not showing available, please call us at 972-998-1964, and we’ll make every effort to help you find a time. Keep in mind, that it is best to give us as much advance notice as you can to have the most flexibility. Early week appointments usually fill up first, so booking a week or more in advance is best.

How long does it take for me to get my images and media back?

We ask that you allow us up to 48 hours for delivery on most media. In most cases though, everything will be ready for photography orders within 24 hours.

Do you have Supra access?

I am an affiliate member of a local realtors association, and I have Supra access to make photography and media appointments easy for you and for your team!

What do I do if I need to reschedule or cancel?

Cancellations or reschedules within 24 hours of appointment may be subject to a $75.00 cancellation fee, as we are not always able to fill the appointment slot. To avoid fees, please try to make changes with more than 24 hours of notice.

What if rain is expected on the day of the appointment?

Weather in Texas can be unpredictable at times. We offer you a choice in these situations:

  1. Keep the regular scheduled appointment time, and if it is raining when we arrive, we will shoot the entire interior, and then arrange a discounted return trip for the exterior images. Rescheduled exterior trips can be arranged through our order form.

  2. Reschedule the whole shoot for a day that it isn’t raining where we have availability.

Do I need to be at the appointment with you?

While we don’t require that you’re there, we suggest that at minimum you or someone from your team go by prior to the appointment to ensure the property is ready for photography. Please look over our Prep Guide. Due to liability, we have very little flexibility, and will be effectively shooting the property as-is.

Do you have Supra access?

We do not have Supra access, so you or the homeowner will need to be present to let us in.

What is Virtual Staging?

When a home is staged, it helps prospective homeowners visualize the space better. Virtual staging is an economical option that saves time and money while still allowing people to envision the home, or parts of the home with furnishings. We can virtually stage just one room, or most of a home, often for a lot less than hiring a staging company.

What is a Virtual Twilight Photo?

A Virtual Twilight is an economical way to emulate photos taken at sunset. These images do not require a late day appointment to complete. We digitally enhance a daylight exterior photo to resemble a shot at dusk to make your listing stand out.

What is a Twilight Photo Shoot?

Twilight images, taken after sunset or during golden hour make your listing stand out, showing the home with warmth and more drama. Twilight images highlight many homes in a way that makes them look stunning, calling special attention to architectural lighting or lighted backyard features. We schedule these appointments at the end of the day, either separately or in tandem with the interior and exterior photography appointment.

Can you remove something in a photo?

It depends on the photo and how the photo will be used. It is always best to have the home ready for photography, with everything in its place per our Prep Guide. Sometimes issues cannot be avoided, and we can discuss these needs when images are delivered, or often we will pro-actively reach out. In general, if the item could have been relocated or easily fixed on the day of the shoot, then the fix may be possible. Bigger items are very difficult to remove. As an example, removing a vehicle digitally can be almost impossible because of the large amount of information that has to be redrawn. In many cases we can declutter interior rooms or maybe remove a hose from a yard or pool fairly easily.

We will not fix something on the actual house for real estate property listings, as that can be construed as misrepresentation in MLS. Images shot for Airbnb properties, or for other non-MLS applications will have less limitations.
